Victoria Biel (Trevoy), soprano
Victoria Biel is an active performer, director and teacher living in Edmonton, Alberta. She recently completed her Masters in Voice Performance and Literature at the University of Western Ontario, studying with Torin Chiles.
Victoria’s opera experience includes the role of Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte, Fortuna in L’incoronatione di Poppea, Suor Docina in Suor Angelica, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, and Second Spirit in Die Zauberflöte. Before this, Victoria was actively involved with the Edmonton opera chorus and performed in several productions including Rigoletto, La bohème, and The Pirates of Penzance.
Other performance highlights include the role of Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors, Fantine in Les Miserables, and Marian Paroo in The Music Man as well as soprano solos in Handel’s Messiah, choral work with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, and International choral competitions with Cantilon Choirs. Victoria has also acted as musical director and conductor for many productions in Edmonton including The Mikado, Les Miserables, Guys & Dolls, Beauty and the Beast, and The Phantom of the Opera.
Victoria is currently a choir conductor with Cantilon Choirs and a musical theatre teacher at a secondary school in Sherwood Park who also maintains an active voice studio and performance schedule.
